Animal portraits are very rewarding, to capture the individual character of each animal is the challenge that makes them so interesting. Painting or drawing animals begins with a visit to meet the subject followed by a photo shoot from which artist and client together choose an idea which characterises the subject. This is converted into a sketch to be approved by the client before being committed to the final artwork.
